Venice Announces Winners

The Toronto Film Festival is already in full swing, but yesterday in Venice, the jury divvied up their awards. Andrej Zvjagintsev received the Golden Lion for "The Return." Takeshi Kitano won the Special Director's Award for "Zatoichi." In the actors category, Sean Penn nabbed honors for Alejandro González Iñárritu's "21 Grams" and German actress Katja Riemann won Best Actress for her performance in Margarete von Trotta's "Rosenstrasse."
