Listen to the Pan: Movie Review Podcasts

Wednesday November 9, 2005
It was only a matter of time: intrepid bloggers are now delivering movie reviews via podcast, the technology that lets you subscribe to online radio shows and download them straight to your mp3 player. The best of these podcasts let you can catch up with new releases and DVDs while you're on the subway or waiting in line at the post office.

Boxoffice.com offers several channels with weekly broadcasts of reviews, interviews and DVDs. BBC radio's Mark Kermode makes his reviews available, and from Chicago, Cinecast podcasts twice a week about current movies. At ReelReviews, Michael Geoghegan discusses an eclectic selection of classic films and personal favorites, including Russ Meyer's "Faster Pussycat! Kill Kill!" and the Criterion edition of "Contempt." From Sidney, Australia, In the Q follows the independent film scene, and Investigating Film Noir does just that.

You can listen to all of these broadcasts directly on the web or through a podcast subscription. Drop us a line if you have a favorite indie or world film related podcast that we've woefully overlooked. [posted by Jurgen]
