The Vikings Are Coming!

The adventures of Gallic defenders Asterix and Obelix are a staple of European childhood, so it's not terribly suprising that the latest film adaptation of the patriotic comic book heroes comes from Denmark. "Asterix and the Vikings," touted as the most expensive European animated film ever, will roll out in France and Belgium in April--this time without Gerard Depardieu as boar-munching sidekick Obelix. Paul Giamatti, Sean Astin, and Evan Rachel Wood will provide the American voices. A teaser trailer is available in Windows Media and Real Player formats. [via Twitch]
