With the New York Film Festival's final parties squarely behind us, we've dedicated ourselves to the small screen again and overhauled our online movies section. In addition to the list of streaming movie sites, we've added three new sections:


Download the Classics offers free and legal versions of movies like Rashomon, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Night of the Living Dead, Un Chien Andalou, and the Beat poet extravaganza Pull My Daisy, among many others.

Recommended Online Films lists recent finds that wouldn't fit anywhere else, such as excerpts from David Lynch's Rabbits, Stanley Kubrick at the premiere of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe, and George Lucas' student version of THX 1138.

Finally, Movie Scenes Online links to clips from classic movies that you can stream or download. Our favorites in this section include the Bill Murray/RZA segment from Coffee and Cigarettes, the ending of Nights of Cabiria, the opening of Apocalypse Now, Ed Norton's New York rant from 25th Hour, the "Like a Virgin" scene from Reservoir Dogs, and much more.
