NYFF Review: Go Go Tales

Monday October 1, 2007

With Go Go Tales, Abel Ferrara has made his first "intentional comedy," telling stories of a bygone New York. Willem Dafoe plays Ray Ruby, the hapless manager of a cash-strapped strip club. Asia Argento, Matthew Modine and Sylvia Miles co-star in this joyful mess. Read Jürgen's review.

Go Go Tales will be screening on October 5 and 7 at the New York Film Festival. We also have video from the highly entertaining press conference with Abel Ferrara, Willem Dafoe, Sylvia Miles, Shanyn Leigh, and Frankie Cee.

Go Go Tales should Go Go away. Ferarra needs to check into rehab or something. What an incredible mess this film is from start to finish…
