Bettie Page Dies at 85

1950s pin-up model Bettie Page died Thursday in Los Angeles, nine days after suffering a heart attack. She was 85. The quintessential girl next door from Tennessee transformed into a sex siren, posing for a series of now infamous S&M photos. Mary Harron's wonderful film The Notorious Bettie Page (2005) featured a incandescent performance by Gretchen Mol as a woman who took delight in taking off her clothes for the camera. More:
