New on DVD: Adventureland, Trouble the Water, Rudo y Cursi
Falco rocks "Amadeus" on repeat in Greg Mottola's lovely and hilarious Adventureland, out on DVD today. Set in a seedy Pennsylvania amusement park in 1987 and starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristin Steward, Adventureland is still one of our favorite films of the year. (Compare prices.)
Just in time for the four-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the powerful documentary Trouble The Water is also available on DVD today. With the help of footage she shot herself, the film follows Kimberly Rivers, aka Black Kold Medina, a rap artist from the Ninth Ward who is too poor to leave New Orleans before the storm. Related: a video interview with the first resident of Brad Pitt's "Make It Right" houses. (Compare prices.)
Fans of Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna might also be interested in the soccer comedy Rudo y Cursi, the first time the two heartthrobs shared the screen since Y Tu Mama Tambien. (Compare prices.)
