New York Film Festival Announces Line-Up

Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud's Persepolis will close the 45th New York Film Festival as one of twenty-eight new films that will be shown from September 28 - October 14. Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited and the Coen Brothers' No Country for Old Men have been selected as the centerpiece and the opener, respectively.
Other films on the selective roster include Before the Devil Knows You're Dead by Sidney Lumet, A Girl Cut In Two (Claude Chabrol, pictured), Margot at the Wedding (Noah Baumbach), Redacted (Brian DePalma), as well as new films from Hou Hsiao-hsien, Abel Ferrara, Todd Haynes, Julian Schnabel, Alexander Sokurov, Catherine Breillat, Gus Van Sant, Carlos Reygadas, Eric Rohmer, and John Landis. We're also very excited about the screening of Ridley Scott's "definitive cut" of his 1982 sci-fi classic Blade Runner, due on DVD later this year. indieWire lists the complete line-up.
Previous years' coverage from the New York Film Festival: 2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2002 | 2001
