Émilie Dequenne first came to internatianal attention for her debut performance in the Belgiam film "Rosetta." She won Best Actress at Cannes for her moving portrayal ofa 17 year old girl who want nothing more than to work for a living. She was next scene in the international hit "The Brotherhood of the Wolf." She went on to break hears in her candid performance in Claude Berri's May-December romance "The Housekeeper" starring opposite the great French actor Jean-Pierre Bacri. Dequenne again captured the attention of critics for her performance, receiving The Most Promising Actress Award from the Chicago Film Critics Association and a nomination for the French Cesar. In the actress' future, she will be seen in two new French films, "Mariées Mais Pas Trop" directed by Catherine Corsini and Patrick Timsit's "L'Americain."Dequenne has also made the jump across the Atlantic. She has recently complete film "The Bridge of San Luis Rey" starring opposite Robert DeNiro.
