The Trial

"A film of infernal brilliance," proclaimed Time magazine when The Trial was released, "perhaps the most exciting picture Orson Welles ever made." The film is an adaptation of Kafka's classic novel about a meek bureaucratic clerk who gets arrested and put to trial without knowing what crime he's been accused of. The stuff your worst nightmares are made of.
