Straight Story

The Straight Story chronicles a trip made by 73-year-old Alvin Straight from Laurens, Iowa, to Mt. Zion, Wis., in 1994 while riding a lawn mower. The G rating is a shock to fans and critics alike, but don't worry. According to our sources, this road movie is vintage David Lynch.

The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures has named Straight Story as one of the ten best films of 1999. At the European Film Awards on Saturday, December 4 1999, The Straight Story won the Best non-European film ward. Nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes. Two Golden Globe Nominations: Best Actor, Richard Farnsworth and Best Original Score, Angelo Badalamenti.
