On Sunday night, the fifty-hird annual Cannes festival came to a striking close. Lars Von Trier, Wong Kar Wai and a trio of filmmakers from Iran were among the top prize winners. Von Trier's Dancer in the Dark, a musical, won two top awards including the prestigious Palme D'Or. Wong Karwai's In the Mood for Love also captured two big wards. The closing ceremony was hosted by Virginie Leydone, the gorgeous actress known in the states as Leo's French girl in The Beach. This year's line-up was selected from nearly 1,400 movies. Fifteen countries were represented. Also noteable, three filmmakers from Iran, Samira Makhmalbaf, Hassan Yektapanah and Baman Ghobadi each received a major prize.
