Miramax brings us another Jane Austen adaptation.
Sleepy
Hollow
OK, so it's a Paramount release and not technically an indie, but if you have
Christina Ricci, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Tom Stoppard collaborating, it's
worthy of our attention. Personally, I'll save this treat for Thanksgiving.
Train of Life
To be honest, I am not sure what to make of the new genre of uplifting Holocaust
movies (Life is Beautiful, Jakob the Liar). This French story of a Jewish
village which organizes a fake deportation train to escape has won many international
prizes.
