Guilty Post-Apocalyptic Pleasures

Logan's Run
Michael York doesn't want to believe that life is over when you hit 30.

Planet of the Apes
Charlton Heston on the beach has to be one of the most underrated classic moments of film history. Take your Odessa stairs and give me Dr. Zaius! See the whole series--my favorite is the one where the monkeys have nukes.

The Seventh Sign
Jürgen Prochnow and the Apocalypse. Not a bad combination.

The Omega Man
Charlton Heston battles it out with the mutants in the ruins of Los Angeles. I'm sure he wishes he had more fire arms.

Soylent Green
I'm starting to wonder about Charlton Heston. The man must have a special connection to the apocalypse. See this one for one of the most famous last lines in science fiction.

Six-String Samurai
Read my review of this piece of delightful indie trash.

Zardoz
Sean Connery stars in this bizarre John Boorman fantasy.

Stuff so bad you wouldn't find me watching it if it was the last movie left on Earth.
