Ole Bornedal

Ole Bornedal is one of the internationally most recognized Danish directors. The romantic thriller Just Another Love Story premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and opens in the U.S. in 2009.

Nightwatch (the Danish version) gave him his big breakthrough in i 1994, a psychological thriller, which he both wrote and directed. Three years later he created the American remake of the film with Ewan McGregor, Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette. In 2002, he made I am Dina , which was the biggest Scandinavian film of all time. I am Dina was rewarded at a number of film festivals all over the world and was nominated for eight Robert-prizes by the Danish Film Academy, from which it received five.

In 2007,The Substitute was released, in which Bornedal has created new standards for children's and young people's movies, and the film has already been recognized at the Buff Festival in Malmo, Sweden.
