As the 58th Berlinale winds down, the phrase that's been popping into Jurgen's mind is "auf dem Zahnfleisch gehen," -- literally, "walking on one's gums." In this diminisehd state, our intepid film critic views "Katyn," the academy award nominated film about the Polish massacre, the redemption of Kirstin Scott Thomas in "I've Loved You So Long," and young hotties Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman in the costume drams "The Other Boleyn Girl."

Also, Antonio Luigi Grimaldi's moving meditation of grief "Quiet Chaos," Robert Guediguian's misfire "Lady Jane," and Naoko Ogigami's lovely "Megune."
