Jentsch also starred in the hit film "The Edukators" opposite Daniel Bruhl. She also had a role in "Downfall," Oliver Hirschenbiegel's 2004 Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language Film. Other film credits include Sven Taddichen's 2001 Film "Julieete" and Judith Kenn's acclaimed 2004 Berlin Film Fesitval Favorite "Angry Kisses" (Zornige Küsse). Julia Jentsch made a successful debut in theater, leading to her being named Best New Talent by "Theater Heute" Magazine in 2002. Acting in the Münchener Kammerspiele since 2001, Jentsch played Desdemona in Luk Perceval's staging of Shakespeare's "Othello" and Elekra in Andreas Kriegenburg's production of Euripides' "Orestes." Jentsch received her training at Berlin's prestigious Ernst Bunsch Academy.
