Born on Feb. 21, 1987 and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Page has been acting since childhood. She was only ten years old when she first landed an agent. Her first was in the Canadian family television movie, Pit Pony.
Page appeared in numerous Canadian productions, including the Canadian TV series Trailer Park Boys, Rideau Hall, as well Marion Bridge, and The Wet Season. She made her U.S. television debut in Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story.
Page’s next film brought the young actress her into the limelight. She gives a shocking performance as a a strong-willed 14-year-old who is targeted by an internet predator in Hard Candy, which led to her being cast in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Ellen Page received an Oscar nomination for the role of Juno, a pregnant teen Juno. She stars opposite Catherine Keener in An American Crime and will next be seen in The Tracey Fragments, an unconventional split-screen drama in which Page stars as depressed teen who searches for her missing younger brother.
