By Jurgen Fauth & Marcy Dermansky, About.com

Recommended DVD picks of the week: a new director's cut of Factory Girl, the Edie Sedgewick biopic starring Sienna Miller, the charming French romantic comedy Avenue Montaigne and from Criterion, the Billy Wilder classic Ace in the Hole.

1. Factory Girl

A rush into the theaters and a botched Oscar campaign for lead actress Sienna Miller ruined the chances of George Hickenlooper's Factory Girl, a bio pic about Andie Warhol muse Edie Sedgewick. Originally panned by the critics, the film has been recut for the DVD release and deserves a second chance. Guy Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, and Jack Huston co-star.

2. Avenue Montaigne

Cecile de France dazzles as a waitress with a dream in the Danièle Thompson's Avenue Montaigne. A love letter to Paris, the film takes place on the fashionable street from which it takes its name.

3. Ace in the Hole

Billy Wilder's Ace in the Hole is legendary for both its cutting social critique and its status as a hard-to-find cult classic. Kirk Douglas stars as Chuck Tatum, an amoral newspaper reporter caught in dead-end Albuquerque who happens upon the story of a lifetime.
