Taiwanese actress Tang Wei makes her screen debut as a young spy ordered to seduce the enemy -- an exceedingly different role for the spy and the actress. Ang Lee's Lust, Caution contains extended, graphic sex scenes that cross the border into violence, establishing the complicated nature of the relationship between the cold diplomat (Tony Leung) and the less experienced woman. The total transformation of Wei from guileless schoolgirl to sophisticated seductress is nothing less than extraordinary.
