Pedro Almodovar knew it: Gael Garcia Bernal looks great in a dress. "Bad Education" is out on DVD along with the release of an earlier Almodovar classic, "The Flower of My Secret." Plus, "Hotel Rwanda," "The Woodsman," and "DiG!"
1. Bad Education (NC-17)
Pedro Almódovar's "Bad Education" features rising star Gael Garcia Bernal as both a drag queen and an aspiring actor in an outrageous tale of desire, revenge and murder. The DVD release features terrific commentary by Almodovar, deleted scenes, the documentary featurette "The Making of Bad Education," and red carpet footage from the AFI Film Festival screening.
2. Hotel Rwanda
Don Cheadle gives a powerful, Oscar-nominated performance as real life hero Paul Rusesabagina, the Hutu manager of a Belgian luxury hotel in Kigali who risked everything to protect over a thousand Tutsi refugees trying to escape the genocide unleashed by the Hutu majority in Rwanda in 1994. Special features include two commentary tracks (one by director Terry George), the documentary featurettes "Return to Rwanda" and "Message For Peace: The Making of Hotel Rwanda."
