Guide Review
Das Romantic Road Movie
At the beginning of the Summer holidays, Daniel, a buttoned-up teacher
from Hamburg (Moritz Bleibtreu) falls in love with a Turkish beauty
and decides to follow her to Instanbul. With his travel companion
Juli (Christiane Paul), he gets into whacky adventures on their way
through Bavaria, Bulgaria, Rumania, and Turkey, by car, truck, ferry,
and foot. Passports are stolen, borderguards must be bribed, sexy
Bulgarian temptresses are to be resisted before Daniel can find his
true love. A romantic comedy that doesn't make you feel patronized.
