Sofia Coppola's "Lost In Translation" is a positively dreamy film, and with its release on DVD, you can get lost again and again.
1. Lost In Translation
Sofia Coppola's "Lost in Translation," starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannson as an odd couple stranded in a luxurious Tokyo hotel, is a hilariously funny and touching gem of a movie. Coppola recently made Oscar history, becoming the first American woman to be nominated for best director. Special features include the 25 minute behind-the-scenes sketch "Lost on Location" (some of it shot by Coppola's then-husband Spike Jonze), and a ten minute conversation with Oscar-nominated Bill Murray.
2. American Splendor
Audiences and juries from Sundance to Cannes and critics from IndieWire to the New Yorker's Anthony Lane love comic book artist Harvey Pekar and the ambitious, multi-layered Harvey-mentary "American Splendor" starring Paul Giamatti and Hope Davis. Special features include group commentary with directing team Sharon Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini plus the cast and the featurette "The Road to Splendor" which follows the real Harvey across the festival circuit and to the New York premiere.
